About This Training Course

The Yellow Card Course (Scissor Lift & Boom Lift) Training Course provides evidence that the operator has been trained in the safe use of the elevating work platforms as noted on the card. Students will receive theory and practical training in the safe use of scissor lifts and boom lifts (under 11m).

• Identifying workplace hazards
• Hazard control measures
• Choosing the right EWP
• Pre and post operational checks
• Setting up the EWP
• Operating the EWP
• Shut down and secure procedures
• Relevant Victorian OH&S Requirements and Duty of Care

Training Course Outcomes

At the end of this Yellow Card Course (Scissor Lift & Boom Lift) Training Course, students will receive an interim document that they can use as proof of completion of the course. They will be sent their permanent EWPA Yellow Card in the mail at no extra cost by the Elevating Work Platform Association shortly afterwards.

Prerequisites

Students must have photo ID on the day. They must must have basic english skills and the ability to work at heights. Please bring your hat with you. If you do no have one, one will be supplied. Enclosed shoes must be worn.
