About This Training Course

The <b>Advanced Riggers Training Course</b> covers the basics of lifting machines including gin poles, guy derricks, etc and rigging work associated with fabricated hung scaffold and suspended scaffold.

This “All in One” <b>Advanced Riggers Training Course</b> includes the formal training and the COMPLETION of the logbook in accordance with the training plan during our workshops as well as the required assessments.

Our <b>Advanced Riggers Training Course</b> have been purposely designed to enable course attendees to obtain the necessary workplace experience and to complete the required logbook in accordance with the training plan under supervisions of our experienced trainers.

It also provides the opportunity to cover any elements of the assessment instrument that are not part of the applicant’s day to day duties at the workplace.

NO FURTHER TRAINING IS REQUIRED TO OBTAIN THE LICENCE AFTER ATTENDING THIS COURSE.

Training Course Outcomes

At the end of this <b>Advanced Riggers Training Course</b> applicants will be issued with an assessment summary and statement of attainment in:


• ADVANCED RIGGING – Unit of Competency OHSCER231A

Both documents have to be logged in person with Australia Post in Queensland together with a licence application. An application fee of $74.00 is directly payable to Australia Post QLD.

<b>Advanced Riggers Training Course</b> COURSE REQUIREMENTS & WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:


• The minimum age for assessments is 18 years or over.
• Photo ID*i.e. Queensland or Interstate Driver's Licence or Passport.
• The Legislation required the applicant to have basic knowledge and understanding of the English language.
• Work safety shoes.

More Skills Australia will provide safety helmets, high visibility vest, whistles as well as the general training equipment, notes, logbook and training plans, calculators and pens.

TRAINING FACILITES:
All our public courses are conducted at our training facilities in Wacol (Brisbane).

Our training facilities are air-conditioned and fully purpose equipped and our students have direct access to all the necessary plant required for the relevant course i.e. Cranes, EWP, Forklifts and Scaffold.

ON-SITE AND GROUP BOOKINGS:
We offer onsite training as well as group booking options at our training facilities in Wacol.
Onsite training and group bookings provide the advantage of being able to choose the course dates as it is suitable for you and your employees.

HOW TO FIND US:
Tile Street can easily be accessed in either direction from the Wacol / Boundary Road and Wacol/ Formation Street turn-offs on the Logan – Ipswich Freeway.
If you are coming via Ipswich Motorway (Centenary Highway) take the Wacol exit. Keep left on slip road and turn left into Progress Road; turn right at traffic light into Formation Street and left at the roundabout into Tiles Street.

We are able to arrange a pick up from Wacol train station for students travelling by public transport. Please contact us for further information.
