About This Training Course

Dogging & Basic Rigging Training Course
Prior to 1 July 1994, persons slinging and/or directing the movement of loads raised or lowered by a crane required dogging certificates of competency only if the work was being carried out on construction sites.
Course price does not include a Work Safe fee of $79.

With the commencement of the National Occupational Health and Safety Certification Standard for Users and Operators of Industrial Equipment [NOHSC: 1006 (1995)] on 1 July 1994, licenced doggers may, depending upon a number of circumstances, be required at all workplaces where cranes are in use.

Rigging Certificate
There are three classes of rigging.
• Basic
• Intermediate
• Advanced

After successfully completing this Dogging & Basic Rigging Training Course you will have attained the Basic Rigging High Risk Licence. This will enable you to gain experience in the workplace as a basic rigger and work with advanced riggers.
