About This Training Course

The Diploma of Childrens Services (Early Childhood Education and Care) Training Course trains educators in Children's Services who are responsible for planning, implementing and managing programs in early childhood services, in accordance with licensing, accreditation and duty of care requirements.

At this level educators have responsability for supervision of other staff and volunteers. In most states it is the highest qualification required at director or service manager level for children's service centre-based care.

This Diploma of Childrens Services (Early Childhood Education and Care) Training Course is recognised throughout Australia.

Training Course Outcomes

At end of the Diploma of Childrens Services (Early Childhood Education and Care) Training Course students are classified as trained early childhood educators. Graduates can work in any of the following programs/roles:


• Team or Room Leader in Long Day Care
• Director in Long Day Care
• Family Day Care Field Officer
• Occasional Care Team Leader
• Aides for children with additional needs

Prerequisites

Successful completion of Certificate III in Children's Services.
