About This Training Course

This Scaffolding - Intermediate and Advanced (SIA) Training Course is designed for participants to gain the necessary skills to plan, prepare & complete advanced scaffolding work as prescribed by the National Occupational Health and Safety Certification Standards for Users and Operators of Industrial Equipment. [NOHSC 1006 (2001)].

The Scaffolding - Intermediate and Advanced (SIA) Training Course plan is based on the Unit of Competencies within the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF):

UEPOPS201A - Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Policy and Procedures
UEPOPS303A - Perform Advanced Scaffolding
Work Safe Western Australia Certification

Training Course Outcomes

At the end of this Scaffolding - Intermediate and Advanced (SIA)Training Course participants will be able to select and inspect gear and construct and dismantle hung scaffolds.

Competent candidates will be issued with a Statement of Attainment (SA) and a nationally recognised Work Safe 60 day interim certificate. Work Safe Western Australia will issue a Certificate of Competency within that 60 day period.

Prerequisites

Participants must hold a Scaffolding - Intermediate (SI) certificate of competency.

Other Information

Work Safe will issue a Certificate of Competency within a 60 day period. Certificate fee - AUS$50 per person (Darwin) and AUS$76 per person (Perth).
