It holds accreditation as an operations and support competency unit for people studying for a Certificate II in Plant Support Operations PMA20102, Certificate II in Process Support PMA20202, Certificate III in Plant Support Operations PMA30102, Certificate II in Process Support Operations PMA30202, Certificate IV in Process Plant Technology PMA40102, Diploma of Process Plant Technology PMA50102, Advanced Diploma of Process Plant Technology PMA60102, these forming competency standards (PMA02) Chemical, Hydrocarbons and Oil Refining Training Package.

Participants must be clean shaven and should have a medical assessment to ensure fitness as per AS: 1715-2009.
