This Security Officer Training Course (Monitoring) has been designed by ATA Course Developers in order to provide individuals with the skills and knowledge required to operate a Security Monitoring Centre in Queensland. This course is delivered through presentations, practical demonstrations, scenarios, group discussions and a variety of other learning techniques.
On successful completion of the Security Officer Training Course (Monitoring) participants will be issued a Statement of Attainment and the necessary application forms to apply for a Security Providers Licence. On receipt of the licence, participants may gain employment in the security industry as a Control Room Operator.
This Security Officer Training Course (Monitoring) covers the following subjects:
CPPSEC2018A Monitor electronic reporting facility
CPPSEC3020A Monitor Security from control room
On successful completion of this Security Officer Training Course (Monitoring) , participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment and may be eligible to apply for a Security Officer (Monitoring) licence.
Must be 18 years or age or older and have had no criminal convictions in previous 10 years to be eligible for a Security Providers Licence.
Completion of the Security Officer (Unarmed) training program is required.
On completion of this Security Officer Training Course (Monitoring) participants will need to apply for a Security Officer (Monitoring) Licence through the Queensland Government Department of Justice and Attorney General prior to commencing employment with security organisations in Queensland. A one year licence attracts a fee of $278.20 plus a $35.50 criminal history check fee. These fees are payable to DJAG on application. If the applicant already holds a current QLD Security Providers Licence, they will only be required to pay a licence amendment fee (approx $60).
