About This Training Course

Changes to the QLD Security Providers Act mean that Security Providers with the Crowd Control and/or Bodyguard functions on their licence are required to complete refresher training every 3 years. This Manage Conflict Through Negotiation Training Course (Correspondence) covers one (of the three) units required for a licence renewal.

It is a well known fact that most conflict can be resolved with effective communication. Every person has the ability to communicate effectively. This course provides participants with the skills to develop effective communication / negotiation techniques while providing a number of scenarios to challenge any Security Officer.

When you enrol in this course we will send you a student manual and assessment workbook with instructions for completing the course. If you have any questions throughout the course you can contact your ATA Instructor by phone or email for assistance. When you have finished, post the assessment back to us and we will contact you with feedback on your assessment,

Training Course Outcomes

On successful completion of this course, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment and may apply to the Office of Fair Trading to renew their Security Providers Licence.

Other Information

IMPORTANT - If you do not supply the Office of Fair Trading with a copy of your certificate BEFORE the due date on the renewal notice your licence will be CANCELLED and you will have to re-apply as a new applicant. Don't leave this training to the last minute!
