We can do all sorts of courses, and learn all sorts of skills and techniques to help us in our work and in our personal lives. However, when we most need to use these skills and abilities, we are often least able to draw upon them. When we are stressed, worried, bothered, anxious or pre-occupied, all the information we have learned tends to go out the window. We lose perspective and clarity, our judgement becomes clouded, our ability to listen and respond constructively to others is reduced. In short, we are not at our best. This Working Well, Living Well Training Course provides participants with an opportunity to learn how to work and live more from a balanced, responsive and effective state of mind. From this state of mind we are better able to use our skills and knowledge, tackle tasks, respond to situations, deal with other people and have a more satisfying experience at work and in life in general.
This Working Well, Living Well Training Course covers the following subjects:
WHY IT MAKES SENSE TO CONSIDER OUR WELL BEING • Why is our state of mind important? • What does it have to do with our work and our life?
HOW AND WHY WE GET IN OUR OWN WAY • How our thinking can work against us • How our states of mind, thought and feelings play out at work and in life • Being mindful/self observant
ACCESSING STRENGTH, WISDOM AND WELL BEING • What does psychological well being look like? • How our thinking can work for us • Gaining a positive and responsive state of mind • Maintaining our bearings, clarity and perspective • Seeing new possibilities
HOW TO REGAIN OUR BEARINGS • Seeing what’s important • Managing stressful situations and difficult days • Navigating our moods and emotions
At the end of this Working Well, Living Well Training Course participants will have an understanding of:
• The impact our state of mind has on our ability to operate effectively at work and in life • How our thinking can work for or against us • How to maintain our bearings, clarity and perspective, rather than becoming reactive, defensive or overwhelmed by stress or adversity • Navigating difficult situations and distressing feelings
No prior knowledge for this Working Well, Living Well Training Course is required.
